The updated Para Para Paradise 6 Songlist!

I will hereby announce the affirmations of the East Coast Park Mini Arts Carnival Trial information, but before that I will also have amendments to the groupings (some error here and stuff)...

Time: 1800hours, 6:00pm
Date: 13th April 2002

All the people involved in the trial are to meet up at Marina LeisurePlex GameStation. PLEASE AVOID BEING LATE! I have the right to remove anyone from the groups should they be late.

Right now the formation of the Singapore Para Para Video is underway and soon we will be able to see Para Para being performed by Singapore Paralists themselves! When the videos are confirmed I will disclose it here!

Well some changes to the site - firstly beside the usual picture near the top of this page now lies a small column where I will feature some hot stuff or recommends so you guys can try them!

I added an Archive column near the bottom so this page wouldn't load that long for those who want only the current news (^_^).

Sorry guys it seems that the Para Para Paradise 6 songlist just suddenly disappeared...might as well, since there is a little glitch in that list...

For those who visit the Forums often this news should not be new to you, but perhaps to the rest of Singapore and the world it is. There will be a Mini Arts Carnival this coming June and there will be 10 paralists selected for the performance in this event! As I've asked for entries in the forum for the past week or so, I realised response has been rather great I would need to hold a 'trial' to decide the participants for the event!

The trial is not to locate the 'best' paralists but to find out the number of paralists able to compliment one another, that is, through style and coordination. There will be no fixed kind of scoring, though we will be looking out for certain sort of criteria.

The following will be the groupings for the trial.

Grouping was done under strict guidelines to hope for the best possible combinations and even the judging criteria and methods of judging are improvised and revised to suit the occasion.

Songs are selected based on 3 songs from the common VCD series as well as one song for each group from the Gatcha series so they can attempt to learn and practice. The group performance song is from J-Euro and is used to gauge the overall outlook of the participants.

I believe some of the participants do not have the videos to some of the dances and so please contact me soon in order to obtain the videos to start learning.

On one final note why I would put all these here, apart from targetting the participants - you, the readers, could be a part of it (apologies to my dear overseas visitors) by attending the trial and watch how the participants strive to be part of a team! More updates to come with regards to place and time.

It's the school holidays and some are really hot and ready for some Para Para action...so what is next after the March Para Para Bash? What? Another Para Para Bash? How cool can that get! Here are the details!

Time and Date: 1730hours(5:30pm), 16th March 2002

Dresscode: Well, clothing that can make you feel comfortable dancing with :)

This event is going to be the first Para Para event targetted at the mass public in Singapore and would hope all Singaporeans to notice the true Para Para and learn along! Apart from two teaching sessions which will feature Go Go Dance by Go Go Girls and Black Magic by Joe Banana, we will have dance performances from 5 groups as well as the Mass Dance section which will gather all Paralists to come together and dance to the music!

This time round I hope more Singaporeans will be able to know what Para Para (and once again, it is not just a mere arcade game) is and be able to look at it at a different perspective and with this movement I wish more paralists will come together and dance, thus making the scene much more lively!

Just opened and updated the Events column with the first major event of the month, the March Para Para Bash! (^_^) as soon as I get the pictures I will insert some in there as well! ;)

Well...nothing much to update, just here to tell you people to join the Para Para Bash tomorrow okay? I'll be wearing jeans and an orange top and a red shirt I guess...so maybe people who does not know us and wants to be part of it can simply spot me! ;) Hope to see you guys there!

As we are approaching the holidays, someone out there just have to ask, "Isn't there ANYTHING for these holidays? I know it's short but at least let us relax..." Here I have to say, your wish is my command!

I've managed to organise what I named as a "March Para Para Bash" for all who wants to dance the Para Para, interested in the Para Para or just want to know what's Para Para! Anyone who is interested in Para Para or wants to know more can just come down to join us in the bash! One thing is important here: I WELCOME ALL PARALISTS AND INTERESTED PARTIES all over Singapore, regardless of whether you know any one of us at all - you have the heart, we have the joy!

So how is everything going to be? Here are the details:

Event: March Para Para Bash

Time and Date: 1730hours(5:30pm), 9th March 2001
Location: Marina Promenade Park, across Marina Square where the River Ang Bao lies. For those who can come punctually and/or doesn't know how to go, just meet at Marina Square Gamestation (the arcade centre on the first level).
Dresscode: Wear appropriate attire as you are dancing (unless you are really *just watching*) - you certainly won't wear skirts and dresses that span to your ankles unless you are *really good*!

For those who don't even know any one of us, just look out for a group of people! I will try to have a dresscode so you people who does not know any one of us can identify me and come along to have fun and joy!

This event is mainly to enjoy ourselves in Mass Para Para Dancing, estimated to span at least 2 hours plus. There will even be training sessions of other Para Para songs so for those who wants to learn new dances or just those who wants to learn dances may just come along to learn! Don't worry - Para Para isn't that difficult so long you have the heart to learn!

You may bring other Para Para songs not listed here but any mixes are discouraged unless they are acknowledged mixes (e.g. PPA Special Performance).

Finally, I hope to see plenty of Paralists around Singapore coming down to enjoy themselves and have fun doing the Para Para, as well as curious and interested eyes of some who wants to know more about Para Para. In case you guys didn't know, this is probably be the first Para Para Event in Singapore solely being organised for the sake of Mass Dancing of the Para Para, so why not mark yourself under Singapore Para Para history to be the first around? ;)

Just to make a mention that some food and refreshments will be provided on that day - don't worry so much - it's free since everything is under my personal budget! (^_^) Have fun!
